international efforts.Job SummaryThe Writer for the Office of the
Vice President for International Affairs (OVPIA) will work within
the Marketing & Communications central unit to promote the IU
Global brand and tell the story of OVPIA's programs and services in
both digital and print communications across all of IU's
campuses.Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborates in the execution of story requests from OVPIA -s
units. Assist in the planning, design, editing, and delivery of
engaging narratives within the IU brand framework.
- Conducts interviews with students, faculty, and staff engaged
in international projects or programs; accurately transcribe quotes
and write narratives based on those interviews.
- Identifies, organizes, and edits stories for OVPIA's blog that
capture the international dimension of teaching, learning,
research, and service at IU.
- Assists in creating narrative content for social media and
other platforms (videos, posts, emails).
- Other duties as assigned.

keep information organized for the use of others within the

- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana UniversityWORK

- Experience in journalism (interviews, research, gathering

- Familiarity with design programs, social media, and
websitesWorking Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability
to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other
standard office productivity equipment. The position involves
sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office
environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to
perform the essential functions with or without an
accommodation.Work LocationBloomington or Indianapolis, IndianaThis
position will work a hybrid schedule, (mix between remote or
in-person work) depending upon the work needs of the department and
is subject to change based on university policy and business
needs.When in-person they will work from the newly constructed
Ferguson International Center and occasionally off-site for the
