Job Description GEOTILL, Inc. has immediate openings for energetic, highly motivated Geotechnical Engineers with academic training/intern experience in subsurface investigations including test boring and geotechnical reports, foundation and retaining wall analysis and design, ground improvement, Landslides, soil laboratory testing and construction materials testing. KEY JOB ELEMENTS In this role, you will: Supervise or perform monitoring of construction operations, including earthwork, dewatering, and excavation support installations and preparing engineering field reports. Perform geotechnical subsurface investigations. Inspect test borings, test pits, monitoring wells, and install and read geotechnical instrumentation. Conduct laboratory and field testing of soils. Perform a variety of engineering analyses and calculations, with and without the use of engineering software. Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports, including day to day correspondence. Develop and present project-specific or technical presentations to clients, technical organizations, and in-house staff. Coordinate construction quality control services, conduct periodic site visits, and review daily field reports prepared by others. BASIC REQUIREMENTS Strong academic background, creativity and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Successful candidates must have a drive for excellence, ability to work in a team setting and capacity for leadership. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required, and a Master's Degree in Geotechnical or Ph.D is plus. Required experience: Civil Engineering (entry level), MS or Ph.D.
