Programs Associate Director is responsible for undergraduate
programs development and oversight. Provides programmatic
leadership for a rapidly growing Bachelor of Science in Biomedical
Engineering program. Responsibilities include directing admissions
and developing recruiting, marketing, and placement strategies at a
regional and national level. Develops and implements new policies
and procedures to improve and streamline operations, initiating and
expanding programs linking students with current and future
opportunities for experiential education, research, and industrial
engineering experiences.
-Required:
- Master's degree in related field
- Three (3) years of experience with program coordination and
advising in a higher education environment and/or supervisory
experience
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be
considered (For example, a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of
experience)
- Proven experience implementing complex initiatives
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook
- Must have excellent database management, electronic publishing
and presentation skills to develop and disseminate program
information
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and integrative skills to
work with complex processes and concepts across disciplines and
academic units
- Excellent interpersonal, public relations, customer service and
(verbal and written) communication skills with the ability to
interpret policies and procedures
- Excellent networking skills within and outside the
University
- Ability and confidence to collaborate with diverse groups of
people including: faculty, administrators, staff, students, and
parents
- Ability to compose professional correspondences and manage an
organized office filing system
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize work to meet
deadlines while dealing with interruptions and produce high-quality
work with attention to detail
- Must be highly motivated, self-initiating and a team
player
- Ability to foresee programmatic needs and respond accordingly
to develop comprehensive and collaborative solutions
- High degree of reliability and flexibility; some evening or
weekend hours may be required
- A valid driver's license
-Preferred:
- PhD in related field
- One year teaching experience at the college level, career
advising experience, academic advising experience, and/or mediation
and/or conflict resolution experience
- Experience with Brightspace LMS, Banner, DegreeWorks, or
Curriculog
