Center/Remote (Hybrid) Summary of Position: The Director of
Resource Development serves as the champion of and coordinator for
external funding to further the innovation and service for IWU's
National & Global campus. This leader partners with internal
departments to support grant and funding work for innovation,
ventures, and academic opportunities. The ideal candidate will
enjoy researching grant opportunities aligned with organizational
priorities and will serve as the chief writer of these grants. The
Director of Resource Development works closely with groups across
N&G as well as the University Director of Grants and Sponsored
Programs in identifying priorities for grant development and
submission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with appropriate departments, including the
chancellor's office, venture development, academic innovation,
partnerships, innovation and partnerships, student experience, and
strategic program launch, to understand opportunities and resource
needs. Understand the structure, objectives, programs, and
financial needs of the organization. -
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government
agencies, including local and family foundations. Understand the
funding climate and opportunities at the national and state level.

- Work with N&G leadership to identify partnership outreach
strategies focused on prioritized funding agencies in order to
build relationships and understand funding priorities. Maintain
positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.

- Communicate and coordinate N&G grant opportunities with the
University Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs ensuring
alignment with institutional priorities and capacity. -
- Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the
funding requirements of the organization, in communication with
grants and sponsored programs office. -
- Submit proposals to the University Grant Office for feedback
and approval. -
- Support submission of proposals to granting agencies.
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and
submitted proposals. -
- Coordinate N&G data with University Director of Grants and
Sponsored Programs, helping the Grants Office to maintain records
and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
- Stay informed regarding regional workforce needs in Indiana,
Ohio, and Kentucky and local conversations in higher education and
business. -
- Demonstrate a Christian worldview and uphold the University's
Christ-centered mission in interactions with students, faculty, and
staff. -
- Other duties as assigned. -Qualifications: -According to

- Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resource, or
leadership required.Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from
diverse communities and cultures as well as a demonstrated ability
to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and
conflict resolution styles.
