Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Managing Director, Purdue Engineering Research Centers Job Summary:The Managing Director, Purdue Engineering Research Centers will interact with faculty, students, and other researchers in large, externally funded Purdue Engineering research centers in an academic environment to manage the teams in a professional and organized manner, including proposal development, post-award support, team schedule coordination, and team milestone monitoring. Interact with industry and government leaders on behalf of the research centers to develop new opportunities. Assist faculty leaders in defining and implementing strategic directions for research teams, as well as in fiscal planning and budgeting processes. • Master's Degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a research-related field. For example, experience working with research teams; as an administrator, research scientist, engineer, etc. Preferred:
  • PhD Skills: Required:
    • Ability to work closely with College of Engineering faculty members, staff, and with the campus community (senior administrators, Deans, School Heads, faculty, staff, and students)
    • Ability to interact actively with industrial leaders and experts
    • Proactive leadership skills, outstanding communications, and interpersonal skills
    • Valid driver's license with ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
    • Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this position

    • FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime)
