Job Description:
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU/PCU 48's
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, will also consider
36 hrs, EOW
Length: 18 weeks

IN LICENSE AND CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUBMIT
**MUST BE WILLING TO TAKE CHARGE** ICU can be charge of both ICU
and medusrg if needed and on one floor.** charge RN check list
which includes making assignments, leading huddle, ensuring bundle
audits are complete, and updating the safety huddle sheet
Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of their
assigned IU Health facility.
First Time Travelers Accepted
Shift Requirements: 4x12 7p-7:30a;
Weekend coverage every other weekend
13-week contract available
Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

-Cardiac Telemetry
-MS/Tele

-Interpretation of dysrhythmias
-Management of dysrhythmias
-Telemetry - on the unit monitoring
-Post Cardiac Angiogram
-Post MI
-Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
-IV insulin protocols
-Titration of Insulin drips
-Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
-Arterial line management
-Blood Product Administration
-Central line care/management
-Peripheral Line Care/Management
-Phlebotomy
-PICC line management
-Starting IVs
-Heparin Protocols
-Manage Cardiac drips- no titration
-Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration
-Procedural Sedation Administration
-Titrate Cardiac drips
-Titrate Vasoactive drips
-CVA
-Care of Ventilated Patient
-Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac
-External CPAP/BIPAP
-High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
-Interpretation of ABGs
-Nasal Cannula
-Non-invasive airway management
-Oxygen face masks
Floating Requirements: Travelers are 100% required to float to our
Saxony Med-Surg Unit when needed
Minimum Experience Required: 3 Years
Staffing Ratios: 1:2 (ICU) 1:3-4 (PCU)
Unit Information: IU Saxony Hospital has a 24/7 Cardiac Cath Lab in
which EP, LHC w/ stent placements and various vascular procedures
are performed and recover within our PCU/ICU inpatient unit. IU
Saxony Hospital will accept 1st time travel team member with at
least 2 years ICU experience. Traveler MUST be able to take IABP,
TTM, and Artic sun devices. Charge experience REQUIRED.

ICU
Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical
care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to
the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse
might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro
ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU
(CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific
patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside
from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy
tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress
updates and support to patients and/or their family.
