Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Job Details Location: Fishers, Indiana 46037 (Greater Indianapolis area) Position Type: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician Start Date: February 1, 2026 Assignment Duration: Ongoing Estimated Weekly Salary: $6460 - $7660 Shift Options: Ambulatory/Clinic Only: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Outpatient clinic responsibilities) Full Scope Generalist (Clinic & Call Coverage): 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour shift) Rounding: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM Clinic: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pager Call: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM Patient Encounters Per Shift: 16-18 Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience in OB/GYN clinical practice Proficient in office procedures: IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, NST evaluation Experience managing low and high-risk pregnancies Ability to interpret fetal heart rate monitoring (NST/CST/FSE) Competency in routine and complicated deliveries: vaginal, low forceps, C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs Skilled in repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Experience with surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic procedures) Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in ambulatory and inpatient settings Perform in-office procedures: IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, NST evaluation Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for low and high-risk pregnancies Interpret and perform OB ultrasounds (preferred), amniocentesis, and fetal heart rate monitoring Conduct routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs Perform open and laparoscopic surgical gynecology procedures Participate in clinic, rounding, and call coverage as scheduled Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Apply now to join our Indiana healthcare team as a Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician in Fishers—one of the best places to practice medicine in the Midwest!
