Indianapolis seeks a dedicated Pharmacist for a 9-week contract
opportunity, with a potential extension. This position requires a
licensed pharmacist with experience in long-term care and IV
medication management. Location Indianapolis, IN Schedule Monday to
Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Possible weekend rotation Key
Responsibilities Accept and dispense prescription medications
accurately and efficiently Monitor patient medication compliance
and identify over-usage patterns Ensure all medications meet legal
requirements and are suitable for patient use Maintain confidential
and accurate patient records and pharmacy files Provide patients
with counseling on medication usage, side effects, interactions,
and device handling Offer additional patient services such as
smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and
cholesterol management Compound medications for internal or
external use and prepare sterile solutions properly Supervise
pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth
operation Maintain appropriate inventory levels for pharmaceutical
and medical supplies Identify drug-related problems and collaborate
closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications and Experience Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
State pharmacy board licensure (Illinois license in hand is
mandatory) Prior intravenous (IV) experience essential Skilled in
long-term care pharmacy practices This is a contract role starting
immediately, lasting through March 27, with a possibility for
extension. Candidates with current Illinois pharmacy licensure and
