Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,601 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 18 months of experience License: Must have an IN state, compact, or IN temporary license in hand prior to start. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Pending license accepted. Must-Have: Solid neuro experience is essential. Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin, Post Heart Catheterization, and Post Pacemaker procedures is required. Description: This position is for a mixed acuity unit that provides care for both medical surgical patients and some progressive care unit level patients. The unit also handles oncology and stroke care. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for medical surgical patients and 1:3-4 for progressive care unit patients. The unit will handle drips for Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. Nurses will encounter unstable strokes and manage BiPAP. The role requires the ability to titrate cardiac drips and monitor chemotherapy. Responsibilities will also include the management of dysrhythmias and pre/post cardiac catheterization care. Nurses must be able to start and maintain IVs, administer blood products, and manage central lines. Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital as needed. The team includes interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. This position demands a proactive approach to patient care and solid nursing skills in a dynamic environment.
