Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,835 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/17/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months in a relevant setting License: Must have an Indiana state, compact, or temporary nursing license in hand prior to start. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips. Solid neuro experience is required. Experience in a mixed acuity unit with medical surgical and progressive levels of care. Description: This is a dynamic unit comprised of both medical surgical and progressive levels of care. Areas of care include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary. The patient ratio for Medical Surgical patients is 1:5-6, and for Progressive Care patients, it is 1:3-4. The role involves administering Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips. You will see unstable strokes and manage patients on BiPAP. The position demands strong skills in cardiac monitoring and managing dysrhythmias. Experience with post-cardiac procedures is essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to start and maintain IVs and manage blood products. Float requirements will apply, and candidates should expect to float within the facility as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working with adults and geriatric patients. This role will involve collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Strong organizational and communication skills are vital for success in this position. All travelers must adhere to the designated contract policies, including working during major holidays.
