Senior Staff / Research Engineer Experienced Team Member

Level 6 Engineeringis seeking a self-starting eager Engineer to become an integral part of our team, at both the Senior Staff Engineer (experienced undergraduate degree holder) or Research Engineer (graduate degree holder) level.

Competitive pay$30 - $65 / hour (depending on experience)

The selected candidate will work as part of an experienced engineering team to help lead the design, analysis, experimental validation, and deployment of test protocols that assess the response and potential degradation of non-traditional composite materials under a wide range of operational environments. Activities will include but are not limited to:

• Support the fabrication and set up of the required testing hardware
• Complete specific tasks and basic and applied research, implementing testing protocols
• Compose written reports based on testing results, supporting the drafting and documentation of research and related technical work

The candidate will work both as an individual contributor and as part of a project team. This person must have deep mechanical and/or aeronautical engineering skills to help drive client work forward. If you meet the following qualifications, please apply:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with specialization in vibrations and solid mechanics

• Experience with hardware design and setup required. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and other sketches
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations to size and specify mechanical system components
• Interact effectively with project managers and engineers

Job Type: Fixed-term, full-time (approximately 24 months) with possible extensions
