Job Summary:The Partnerships & Events Activation Leader position is a fast-paced and exciting opportunity responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of a large number of high-profile company sponsorship events and activations. This includes all Group 1001 racing and Gainbridge Fieldhouse events, along with all other partnership, employee engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility activities that support communities throughout the country. This position requires someone with strong project management expertise and must be capable of working in a highly fluid environment. As a savvy brand, events, and activation leader, this position delivers an exceptional client experience for the company's important partnerships. This position will lead and develop the events and partnerships team members. This is a hands-on position that works closely with C-suite leaders, including the President of the company. This position requires demonstrated and proven skills in project management, client-facing expertise, and staff development management. The ideal candidate for this role exhibits great confidence and influences various leaders, along with external partners in order to activate events properly. While this role leads the events team, this position is directly involved in the delivery and execution of all necessary tasks required at events. Main Accountabilities:

  • Project leader for all company-sponsored events and provides an exceptional client experience. Leads all project management aspects and works collaboratively with many external and internal partners, including communications, sales, and marketing. Executes all company events through collaboration on communications strategies, including social media content. Direct communication with the President of the company and provides insight and influence relating to the execution of sponsorship event details. Delivers an exceptional guest experience for all clients at sponsorship events. Creates all necessary and required content materials for company events. On-site activation events expert in client-facing scenarios. Represents the company in a manner that is professional and positively promotes the brand.
  • Leads and executes all logistical needs of sponsorship event deliverables. Works directly with suppliers, facilities, hotels, catering vendors, credentials, equipment, and all other resources needed.
  • Responsible for a project management tool for tracking all partnership initiatives in collaboration with marketing and communications teams.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the events & partnership team members on the delivery of all events and is directly involved in planning and executing all activities relating to these events.
  • Oversees the workflow and work assignments of the sponsorship team to ensure effective collaboration among stakeholders. Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of events/sponsorship management planning and/or project management experience required.
      Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred. Requires demonstrated and proven ability to effectively manage large high-profile events independently on assigned accounts.
      • Strong detail-oriented and communication skills, including proven ability to interact professionally with a wide range of C-suite executives, corporate partners, and guests.
      • Ability to think strategically and be solution-oriented.
      • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
        Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
        • Ability to build strong relationships while using tact and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
          Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFrequent travel within the U.S. and opportunity for occasional international travel.This position often requires attention outside of 'normal business hours,' while also respecting a work and life balance for yourself and your teammates.
