The incumbent performs all aspects of reporting, planning, organizing, and implementing Supplier Diversity initiatives to include diverse and small businesses in the supply chain process, while assisting these businesses in their development. - Maintains up to date understanding of enterprise needs, relevant industries, and best practices for strategic sourcing and contracts management is crucial. - Supports and/or assists higher level Strategic Sourcing Managers with strategic sourcing events, with a particular focus on inclusion of diverse suppliers in sourcing efforts.Responsibilities:1. Category and Sourcing Management - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Lead role in Supply Chain Diversity Planning & Coordination including Cross BU engagement for event planning and recognition targets - -Lead and analyze Supply Chain Diversity data for accuracy and auditability, the preparation of compliance reporting for all regulatory activities associated with Supply Chain Diversity including federal, state, and local reporting requirementsInterpret data and forecast trends with recommendations for programmatic updatesEffectively communicate at all levels including BU Personnel and SuppliersPromote procurement and sourcing opportunities for small and diverse businesses throughout all business unitsSupport the continued implementation of Supply Chain Diversity best practices including outreach, recognition, certification, and accountabilityOversees Supply Chain Diversity coding in systems of recordProvides interface for all supplier contacts and questions with respect to certification and registrationMaintains the Supply Chain Diversity Website -Serves as first point of contact for Supply Chain Diversity and appropriately directs Supply Chain Diversity phone calls and e-mail -Other duties as assigned2. Compliance and Demand Management - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Work with Corporate Procurement's internal customers and business units to formulate short to long-term supplier diversity strategies for external suppliers/service providers.Develop effective working relationships with key decision makers/influencers; line of business executives, and subject matter experts.Monitor supplier compliance with established agreements. This includes monitoring service levels, outages or other unusual events, customer satisfaction levels and supplier responsiveness. Also includes reviewing the accuracy and timeliness of invoices and their processing.Monitor Navient compliance with established agreements. This includes adherence to contracts terms, meeting requirements for self-audit and true-up, and timeliness of invoice payment.Track and report savings for assigned categories.3. Strategic Sourcing Analytics - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Run queries in financial systems and interpret data and results to make business decisions.Perform spend analysis based on several different sources of information/data.Prepare financial models and present results to sourcing teams and internal customers.Work independently to analyze current spend and suppliers used through the AP, T&E, wire, corporate procurement card and other financial systems. - This analysis is across the enterprise, including subsidiaries, and all suppliers in use. -Review paper and electronic invoices to understand and un-bundle the current pricing of goods and services into component parts, such as purchase prices, discounts, implementation charges, and add-on fees. -Analyze these spending patterns and all associated costs relative to the total cost of ownership related to the goods and services, including maintenance, operating, payments, staff and communication costs.Understand and develop volume and growth patterns and assumptions necessary for sourcing any individual category.Review and analyze supplier responses at each round, identifying areas for clarification, incomplete information, and comparing specific and total pricing.4. Continuous Improvement - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Analyze procurement processes for inefficiencies.Analyze procurement policies for gaps and ineffectiveness.Make recommendations to management regarding opportunities for improvement.Lead/participate with implementing sanctioned changes.Take advantage of opportunities to increase utilization of e-procurement toolsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of four years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and negotiation for indirect goods and services or six years of experience in business areas related to assigned procurement categoriesAll offers of employment are contingent on standard background checks.
