Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions.What You'll Do:Install and maintain electrical systems of the plant to provide power for machinery, lighting, and facilitiesPerform all work in accordance with local codes and safety specificationsTrain electricians in lesser classificationsDiagnose, isolate, and effect repairs or replacement of problems in the plant electrical systemMake emergency repairs to prevent excessive production delaysKeep plant high voltage substations in good conditionObserve extreme caution and good safety practices in servicing all plant electrical systemsPerform mechanical troubleshooting and repair assignments as requiredCapable of working from elevated platform and lift 50 pounds of weightTake necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize productivityPerform tasks with quality and productivity in mind and follow all established procedures and process instructionsFollow all safety procedures and regulationsPerform all work with minimal supervisionSecure proper tools for each taskCommunicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operationApproach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team memberExceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detailExercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating proceduresWhat We Need from You:High School Graduate or equivalentTechnical School training or accredited apprenticeship or equivalentWorking knowledge of AC and DC circuits and systemsMotor generator principles and control theory and designKnowledge of electrical codes, as related to installations, basic hydraulics, and pneumaticsKnowledge of control devices, high voltage maintenance and troubleshootingExperience in motor, drive and coupling alignmentPanel building and machine rewiring, read electrical schematics, modification of electrical systemsKnowledge of good electrical safety habits and PC operation5 years and over experienceWhy You'll Love Working for Us:$1,500 Sign On BonusCompetitive payCompany paid pension planMedical and Dental InsurancePaid Vacation and HolidaysCompany paid Short Term DisabilityTo learn more about Grede, please visit our website at .We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
