is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service team. In this role, you will install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machines and equipment such as material handling systems and automated conveyor systems.
Does this work interest you?

  • Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
  • Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
  • Remove and replace worn or defective parts
  • Realign and adjust components
  • Start- up and debug equipment to test operation following repair/installation
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical components
  • Understand PLCs/ladder logic
  • Can make software changes on a limited basis
  • Provide training to customers on proper maintenance and operation of equipment
  • Must have skills to successfully oversee others should those needs arise on a service call
  • When appointed Lead Technician for a service call, the Technician will be responsible for the supervision of Shuttleworth personnel onsite and project coordination with the customer contact
  • Technicians are also responsible for overseeing/directing work performed by the customer's personnel as well as subcontractors

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Must have the ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics and ladder logic.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring and ladder logic programs
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
    • Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations
    • Valid driver's license -
