Associate Responsibility Statement As a member of the USIEC team,
this role will be be responsible supporting daily import and export
operations: including engaging business partners, third party
vendors or suppliers to support the regulatory aspects of U.S.
import export compliance. This position will execute technical
aspects or requirements of trade compliance. This position will
work with a variety of groups both inside and outside the company,
such as supply chain, legal, finance, customer service, IT,
R&D, manufacturing, procurement and third party vendors The
successful candidate will have working knowledge of U.S.
regulations that govern trade compliance. Key Responsibilities
Manage daily import operations, including engaging business
partners, third-party vendors, or suppliers to support the
regulatory aspects of U.S. import export compliance. Execute
technical aspects or requirements of trade such as HTS
classifications, valuation, origin, AES filing, etc. Manage broker
relationship and responsibilities to support US Customs import
entry process. Manage ACE FDA import entry codes, including
intended use code, agency program code, agency processing code,
affirmation of compliance (BLA/NDA, DLS, NDC, drug establishment
registration, FDA product code). Support duty savings. Conduct
customs post-entry checks, entry file reconciliation, and assist in
transaction testing and interviews during formal assessments.
Update existing procedures and write new procedures for both USIEC
and internal partners. Execute continuous improvement strategies to
enhance processes, procedures, and governance with prioritization
input identified as higher risk or in need of improvement by Lilly
or government-specific audits or assessments. Implement automation
and process improvement initiatives to streamline compliance
operations and enhance efficiency Basic Qualifications
Requirements: BS/BA Degree 5 years of trade compliance experience
Expert knowledge of U.S. Harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) Qualified
applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a
full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work

Skills/Preferences Desired Experience: Project management
Interpersonal skills needed to develop effective internal and
external working relationships. Strong capability to lead
cross-functional projects and processes to achieve results while
influencing and leading others who may or may not report to the
function or area. Working knowledge of Harmonized tariff schedule
(HTS) for U.S. and duty savings. Ability to adapt and learn in a
changing environment with an approach to achieve continuous
improvement in support of trade compliance. Proven ability to seek
data, analyze and draw relevant conclusions, and leverage data to
make recommendations towards actions/decisions. Understanding of
internal controls or elements of effective compliance programs.
Ability to investigate, test for compliance, evaluate options, and
take corrective action. Strong verbal and written communication
with the ability influence effectively with all levels of the
organization including management and external parties Highly

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $57,750 -
$129,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
