OverviewSalesforce Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports Salesforce and Marketing Cloud activities that strategically guide business and operating models, people, processes, and technology. The Salesforce architect works closely with IT and business leaders to create alignment between business and IT. The Salesforce architect clarifies strategic intentions, aligns business outcomes, explores implications, impacts, and risks, and addresses stakeholders' questions. They design and create deliverables for business leaders that support organizational change toward achieving targeted business outcomes. The Salesforce architect facilitates discussion around the construction of business models, which may include technology, business capabilities, processes, and other key business deliverables. The Salesforce architect helps strategy and business leaders understand, apply, monetize, and operationalize existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models.ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:

  • Innovation - Assesses the disruptive forces impacting the organization and the economic and financial levers that are susceptible within the organization to digital transformation and optimization. Serves as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert. Guides customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value. Details competitive threats and opportunities from digital enterprises that are generally considered outside the traditional realm of competition. Analyzes the organization's Salesforce strategy and how the organization currently approaches innovation, streamlining/process improvement, and monetization. In coordination with VP, AVP, and manager, drives understanding, adoption, and coordination of next-gen Salesforce technologies across the organization. Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes business cases for new business opportunities. Participates in the ongoing process to identify and prioritize business processes that can be converted to digital to enhance the customer experience and become a trusted partner in the management and delivery of products and services. Acts as a subject matter expert on the Salesforce suite of products, supporting technologies, and AppExchange providers along with trends in digital solutions and capabilities. Keeps abreast of emerging CRM technologies and evaluates vendor offerings to determine the best fit for business needs. Supports thought leadership to develop viewpoints on digital trends. Recommends innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Strategy & Execution - Collaborates with the CIO, VP & AVP to create a strategy for the enterprise to promote the use of data, data services, and technology platforms to establish the scalable Salesforce ecosystem. In coordination with senior leadership, is responsible for end-to-end strategy, design, and implementation of the roadmap for the organization's Salesforce and Marketing Cloud suite of products. Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges, defines the vision and requirements, recommends options, and develops a roadmap for the chosen solution. Leads the identification and recommendation of solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options considering productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership. Mentors other Salesforce professionals to solve complex system problems. Conducts research, analysis, and documentation on all facets of the job. Leads critical initiatives to grow the consulting practice and contributes to the enterprise's knowledge base. Sets strategy for Salesforce developments and aligns investments with business goals. Implements overarching Salesforce strategy across all segments, moving from offline to online. Partners with product owners to manage project portfolios. Connects Salesforce investments to organizational goals for digital transformation. Translates business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints and best practices. Assesses vendors and solutions for best fit. Produces technical documentation. Evaluates Salesforce standards, tools, and solutions for improvement opportunities. Participates in governance and review meetings. Ensures compliance with standards and regulations. Analyzes current Salesforce architecture for weaknesses and opportunities. Creates procedures for platform maintenance and updates. Ensures security and quality standards are met. Engages stakeholders to leverage emerging technologies for strategic goals. Promotes Salesforce platform use to optimize processes and identify new opportunities. Communicates progress to leadership. Builds relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Collaborates on project planning and maintains relationships with technology partners. Works with stakeholders to optimize and integrate Salesforce solutions. Provides technical leadership and guides teams through Agile and DevOps processes.
  • Other duties - Performs additional duties as assigned and complies with policies and standards.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience, plus extensive project experience (Required).
  • Experience facilitating high-performance cross-functional teams (Required).
  • Experience developing and monitoring solutions for complex business problems (Required).
  • Experience building strategic technology plans and roadmaps (Required).
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex solutions (Required).
  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystem and AppExchange offerings (Required).
  • Organizational savvy, able to work with executives and push back diplomatically.
  • Strong communication, influence, and persuasion skills with leaders and peers.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce technologies and their application to business models.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and foresight skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and support business needs.

  • Experience with cloud deployment, security architecture, development, networking, Agile, SCRUM, and related technologies, including Salesforce Lightning, APEX, VisualForce, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, SOQL, APIs, GIT, TFS, etc.
  • Deep Salesforce architecture knowledge, with development experience preferred.
  • Salesforce certifications (Architect, Administrator, Consultant, Developer, Marketing Cloud) are a plus.Work Setting/Position Demands:
    • Office environment, long periods at a desk, requiring communication and visual acuity.
    • Ability to prepare reports and apply logical principles.
    • Frequent movement of hands and wrists for computer work.
